Maastricht Instruments’ partner LIME is measuring physical activity of high school students. LIME supported Hogeschool Zuyd’ students with the research setup and the correct measurement of biometric data. To capture physical activity data the MOX accelerometer was used. The aim of this project was to help high school students become more aware of their physical activity levels by providing objective measurements. Furthermore, the Blariacum college wanted to know how active their students are during and after school, at home and in the weekends. After a baseline measurement students were offered a program of eight weeks with sporting activities. After the eight weeks, students were again tested to see if any changes had occurred. Through this research the Blariacumcollege hopes that students will adapt a more active lifestyle.
